His unique style is something NO past or present contestant on American Idol has. First a little about Blake: Blake Lewis was born on July 21, 1981 and he hails from Bothell, Washington, USA. Blake comes from Welsh, German, and Irish families. He has also been singing since he was only five years old. On 1999, Blake graduated from Inglemoor High School in Kenmore. He is a singer and songwriter. He currently sings for a local banned named "BShorty" and he is the beat boxing champion of Seattle. Blake has also performed in Kickshaw, a Seattle-based a cappella group and has also toured Europe with his youth choir.
He auditioned for "American Idol" at Seattle, Washington. During his audition, he sang to the beat of Seal's "Crazy." All the judges said yes, but Simon reminded him not to be too cocky. On March 8, 2007, Blake Lewis made the Top 12 on "American Idol."
